The game BANG! quickly became a crowd favorite after being introduced by a family friend. While it is fun with four people, it is best enjoyed with a larger group.
The card game BANG! recreates an old-fashioned spaghetti western shoot-out. Each player randomly receiving a character card to determine special abilities and a role card to determine their goal. The catch? A player’s role is kept secret, except for the Sheriff. There are a variety of different types of cards in the draw deck, but most common is the BANG! card. These let you shoot at another player, assuming the target is within “range” of your current gun. This western mystery game is classic. (source)

The “Core Four” Game Reviews of BANG!
We lovingly call our family-quartet the Core Four. We believe a family that plays together, stays together — and is less prone to fist fights. Our game closet is overflowing and we’re here to share our favorite finds with you.
GAMER DAD — ★★★★
I dig Bang! The more the merrier for this game. If you have at least five players, that’s ideal and incorporates all the characters.
GAMER DAUGHTER 1 — ★★★★
I like it! It was kind of hard to learn because there are so many cards you have to understand, but it is really fun in the end.
GAMER DAUGHTER 2 — TBA
RELUCTANT GAMER MOM — ★★★★
One of our favorite gaming friends, DORK DAD, brought this card game for our family to experiment. He assured us it was his nephews’ absolutely favorite family game, so we gave it a try.
When I saw the complexity of the cards, I admit, I excused myself from the table to freshen up the snack trays. Reluctantly, I tried this “what I thought was complex” game. While there are many different types of cards, the use and purpose of each and every one is explained on the card itself, making the whole experience pretty digestible after you get past that first bumpy round.
We love “Core Four” family night when it is just our immediate family. However, we found that even though you *can* play BANG! with only four people, it is a lot more fun with five to seven!

DORK DAD — ★★★★
BANG! is a card game that simulates a spaghetti western shootout. You play the role of either sheriff, deputy, outlaw, or renegade. Hide behind a barrel and shoot your enemy with your Winchester. Oh my gosh, somebody just lit the dynamite! Play this game and it won’t be long before you are shouting “draw your guns” in your best western drawl.
Just like the original Clint Eastwood movies, the game is made in Italy, which explains why the card descriptions are written in Italian. This makes the learning curve a little steep for an otherwise simple game. Lots of fun though.
